'If you want and who doesnt a poet who effects a transfiguration of the commonplace, it is Pam Brown. Justin Clemens
'This is a lively, sharp, and entertaining collection from a veteran poet who has mastered her craft.' Chris Arnold , Australian Book Review
Stasis Shuffle plays with style and experiments with form. The poems are fragmentary and discursive, knowing and wry; bursting with jokes, wordplay, strange observation, and personal revelation.
Pam Brown was born in Seymour, Victoria, grew up on military bases in Queensland, and has spent most of her adult life living and working in Sydney. She has published many books of poetry and prose and was contributing editor for Overland, Jacket, and many other magazines. Her books have won or been shortlisted for major literary awards including the Kenneth Slessor Prize for Poetry, The Age Book Of The Year Award, the Adelaide Festival Award for Poetry, the Judith Wright Calanthe Award, and the ALS Gold Medal.
