It's time to follow your imagination!
Hirameki - 'brainwave' or 'flash of inspiration' in Japanese - is where doodling and imagination come together. Simply put, it's the art of turning a random blot into something amazing, just by adding a few dots and lines. If it's true that you can find happiness in little things, this book should keep your eyes, hand and brain entertained for hours.
'The ink blotty watercolour-esque patterns are beautiful, but should you feel inspired you can also pick up a pen and transform the ink blots into your own doodle. Such a cool idea' - Abigail Ahern
'Now thats how you create art! ... For anyone who likes to draw, especially those like me who need a bit of inspiration, Hirameki is perfect' - This is Life Blog
'Perfect if youre frequently found trying to spot shapes in the clouds' - Best Magazine
'Put the felt-tips down the next phase of the adult colouring craze is upon us, and its the art of Hirameki' - The Sun on Sunday
The artists Peng and Hu first discovered the fantastical phenomenon of Hirameki when they saw a cow with a splotch that looked just like a famous filmstar. They quickly realized that even the tiniest blot could be easily turned into something amazing. Hirameki has become a fabulous art form for everybody: even the most inexperienced doodlers can produce hundreds of sensational scribbles. Peng and Hu's passion for collecting blots and dots of all kinds has taken over their lives!
