Visit New York City and take in your first Broadway show. This illustrated soundbook is your guide to the world-famous theatre district! Eleanor and Harry's grandparents have just surprised them with tickets to a Broadway show! Join them as they get dressed up and take a train into the city to experience the magic and joy of the theatre for the very first time. Readers can see what it's like to attend a Broadway show, enjoy the performance, and then head backstage with Eleanor and Harry to meet the actors, dancers and musicians who bring the story to life. Ten sound buttons play well-known songs, including Give My Regards to Broadway, Puttin' On the Ritz, and Manhattan, to accompany every scene, pull out boxes show the theatre district and typical theatre layouts, while a handy glossary at the end introduces useful terms. Ideal for caregivers who want to share their love of Broadway with their children, Hello, Broadway! is the perfect introduction to the wonderful world of musical theatre for kids aged 5-7.
