Aysenur Gunes was born on October 3, 1987 in Istanbul. In 2010, she graduated from Istanbul University, Department of TV and Cinema and in the same year she started to work as an intern for Yumurcak TV, a well-known TV station broadcasting for children all around Turkey. As she graduated from TV and Cinema she still took more interest in books. She began her career as an assistant at the TV station but she found herself looking for something more expressive, and timeless. She discovered all this, and more, in children's books.Gunes is currently researching and developing his publishing career in Mainland China. She believes that Asian culture and literature can open her horizons and inspire her to write new stories for kids, and give her a chance to translate some books from Turkish to Chinese and from Chinese and Turkish also. Her first goal is observing the children's literature of China and doing research on classic Chinese books for children and then using this experience to create new and better works for preschool, young children, teens and young adult ages. She is not only editing and writing, but also developing arts, craft and other instructional activities for children. It is Gunes's wish that her books become a favorite for children and teachers of all ages.
