A gorgeous interactive introduction to garden wildlife for little children.
A sunny garden hums, buzzes, creeps and crawls with life... Peep inside to see what you can find. A beautifully illustrated non-fiction picture book for very little children with lots of flaps to lift, holes to peep through and animals and insects to spot. Children can peek at the insects buzzing beneath flower petals, spot a sleepy toad hiding in a log pile and lift a lily pad in the pond to uncover lots of tiny baby newts! A charming introduction to the world around us for very young children.
A sophisticated, well designed flap book... A fresh approach with lots to talk about. * The Guardian *
Growing up on the Wirral and in Germany, Anna wrote plays about talking animals, and stories about naughty children, and drew on every available surface. After school, she did an Art Foundation course, then a degree in German Literature & Philosophy at Oxford University. In 1998 she found her perfect job at Usborne in London, writing about everything from curious penguins to trips to the Moon.
