A composite of global cultures, Walk this World celebrates the everyday similarities, as well as the exotic differences that exist between cultures around the world. Travel to a new country with every turn of the page, each with new surprises to discover: peep through windows, open doors and delve underground by opening the many lift-flaps designed into every spread.
Sometimes you pick up a book and instantly fall in love with it. That is certainly the case for 'Walk this world' from the publishers of another of my favourite books, Maps by Aleksandra and Daniel Mizielinska. 'Walk this world" is absolutely beautiful to look at as it takes us on a tour of the world. With pages of French shops and Indian temples. There are over 80 flaps to open up and explore which give you little insights into other worlds. We loved finding a snowy Russian scene to remind us of our trip to Russia with our children. "Wrap up tight! The world is white, I'm crunching through the pearly snow. Onion domes and cosy homes glow gold with warmth as past I go" - And finding London with, "Drizzly streets and scarlet soldiers, shiny cabs and businessmen. As I pass him in the rain, I tip my cap to old Big Ben" - But the best is how it ends: I absolutely love this book, a journey through this beautiful world that we live in with so much to explore and see. * globalmousetravels.com *
