Author Bio

Pavla Hankov (1990-2021) was born in the Czech Republic. She came from a picturesque Moravian village surrounded by vineyards. She was an avid reader since early childhood, and she had always longed to write. She was a graduate in English and Chinese from the Faculty of Arts of Palack University, Olomouc. Fate had determined that she made regular returns to her native tongue, as a literary editor of childrens books for Albatros publishers. A keen traveler, she drew inspiration wherever she went, not least to feed another of her passionsfood and everything associated with it.

Diarmuid Cathin is an Irish illustrator and picture book maker. After obtaining a degree in visual communications, he worked in the graphic design field, before pursuing a career in illustration. With over ten years freelance Illustration experience, Diarmuid has worked with a wide range of clients, both Irish and international, on a variety of projects from editorial and advertising, to packaging and animation. He is always looking for new opportunities to collaborate and new visual challenges to sink his teeth into.
