Author Bio

JANE WERNER WATSON(1915-2004) was the original editor of Little Golden Books, and the author of numerous Golden Books herself, many of which were illustrated by the great children's illustrators of the mid-twentieth century. GARTH WILLIAMS (1912-1996) is known for his realistic yet highly expressive animal characters. He brought to life some of the best-loved children's books of the 20th century, including E. B. White's Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little, and the Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
