Description

An enchanting lyrical text by Bill Martin Jr, illustrated by Eric Carle, creator of the bestselling The Very Hungry Caterpillar, now appears in a chunky board-book format. Exuberantly coloured artwork and favourite animals make this rhythmic story the perfect introduction to looking and learning about colours. Each spread leads seamlessly into the next and young children will delight in Eric's colourful collage animals and simple repetitive language.

Reviews

Carle's books all have an educational element they teach about animals, numbers, colours and nature but a big part of their appeal is that they are not didactic or laboured, but light and entertaining. There's warmth and humour there too * Junior *
Carle's richly hued, collage-like art and gentle text will be comfortingly familiar to his numerous young devotees * Publishers Weekly *
Eric Carle . . . has an unfailing magic. His gentle, glowing collages are satisfying for parent and child * The Times *
