SALLY RIPPIN was born in Australia, but grew up in many other countries including England, Brunei, Hong Kong and China. She has written and illustrated many books for all ages, including the 'Fang Fang' books. ANN JAMES is a former art teacher who is now firmly established as a gifted illustrator of children's books. She has illustrated over 50 books, many of which have been published around the world, including The Midnight Babies and Little Humpty (both by Margaret Wild), and A Coat of Cats (by Jeri Kroll).
Recent titles include The Way I Love You, Dog Star, Lizzie + Smilie, The Midnight Feast, and Lucy Goosey, shortlisted for a 2007 CBC award.
