This beautiful board book is the perfect introduction to Pets. From cute guinea pigs to colourful fish, explore the vibrant artw ork created by acclaimed artist Jane Foster. The perfect gift for little ones.
A stunning new addition to Jane Foster's boardbook collection with her trademark colour palette and bold style. Featuring pets of all shapes and sizes, from the every day to the more exotic - this book is a great way to teach littlies the names of our favourite furry (or not-so-furry) friends. * Library Girl and Book Boy *
From a dapper pooch about town to a pair of squeaking guinea pigs, this book introduces little readers to familiar family pets in a stylish and engaging way. * Baby Magazine *
Reptiles and birds. Big and small. Say hello to the animals most commonly adopted as companions. With a word and a picture, this is the perfect vocabulary builder. Point at the pictures and follow the letters of the word until your little reader learns the words for our animal friends. I adore the design, with bright, contrasting colours, subtle patterns on the pages with the words and funky retro-style animals which could be straight out of a 1960s picture book. Elder siblings might enjoy using this as a catalogue for drawing inspiration. This would be a lovely way to bring the bigger kids into a reading experience designed for the very young. This is part of a series of books. Think first 1000 words split into bright, attractive volumes. Why wait until your child is old enough for paper pages when you can start with such beautiful and fun books * Book Murmuration *
Jane Foster (Author, Illustrator)
Jane Foster is a designer and illustrator whose work in screen printing has gained her wide acclaim. Her style is heavily influenced by Scandinavian trends with a nod to the 1950s and 60s. Appealing to adults and children alike, her work is bold, colourful and happy in its execution. Jane also screen prints fabric to make toys, cushions, bags and toy kits. Her range of stylish designs is much more than that though and you can accessorise your home with ceramics, glassware and kitchen textiles as well.
Jane lives near the coast in Devon in a vintage-inspired home with her partner and daughter.
