The selection of colours, animals and words and the new format makes this the perfect book for toddlers. Each page will depict an Australian word taken from the original book. As the original edition of Possum and Wattle continues to sell, this board book will provide a different experience for a younger audience.
"A glorious visual feast of color . . . highly recommended." "Sydney s Child Magazine" on "Possum and Wattle: My Big Book of Australian Words""
"It is Bancroft's paintings that make the greatest impression." "School Library Journal" on "Sun Mother Wakes the World""
"Using a mixture of techniques from her Aboriginal background and her own artistic creativity, Bancroft entices children to count from one to 15 as they view an array of Australian animals cavorting on brightly colored pages. . . . The boldly outlined animals filled with dotted designs are strikingly placed in each spread." "Kirkus Reviews" on "An Australian 1, 2, 3 of Animals""
