Description

The "Bubbles" project began during a visit with some of my grandkids, Hadley Dickson, James Dickson, and Danica Dickson. Most of our visits include music time and taking a whack at writing songs together. On this particular visit, we'd just finished an enthusiastic adventure making bubbles in the backyard. Afterward, during music time, I asked them what they wanted to write about and one of them yelled out "Bubbles". And the song was born.

Months later, my music partner David J. Michalak and I began producing the song to add to our collection of music. My cousins, Sophia Bass and Catherine Bass, sisters, both wonderful artists, agreed to assist us with the project. Catherine is an amazing painter and Sophia's voice is incomparable. They are the daughters of my cousin Reggie Bass who was my great friend and music partner of my youth.

So together we all created the Bubbles book, song, and video. We hope you enjoy it! The song can be found on all major music platforms using the artist's name Morrow Michalak. The video can be found at morrowmichalak.com/bubbles.

Andr Morrow is a member of the songwriting team Morrow Michalak.

The love of songwriting has persisted throughout his life and realized relatively recently that his songs are very much a chronicle and diary of his life. He's a proud African-American Democrat originally from North Carolina. Both sets of grandparents owned large farms and sent the majority of their 19 children (collectively) to university and beyond.

His father and grandfather were both Head Deacons in a country Baptist church. He played guitar and sang with the youth choir. His mom was a teacher and administrator and still lives in NC. After raising three boys, she deserves as much rest as possible. He has a massive number of cousins that are loved like brothers and sisters. Andr relocated to California just after graduating North Carolina A&T State University.

Andr has three awesome kids, from his first marriage, all married to wonderful people. His six grandkids each receive a small guitar when they are old enough to hold it.

His wife Jami is very supportive though it can be tough listening to the same song over and again as it is crafted. Andr is also very grateful for finding a talented and genius writing partner and friend like David J. Michalak. Catherine Bass is a pencil and watercolor illustrator. She lives in West Chicago with her mini lop (bunny), Charles. She is attending the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she's pursuing a major in Animation Concept Art. At the time of the Bubbles release, Hadley is nine years old and is in the 3rd grade. She is a brilliant lyricist and loves to write songs with her Papi. Her favorite color is green. She likes to give makeovers, read, and cruise around on her Pineapple Roller Skates. She loves her two dogs, Lola and Bruce. When she grows up she wants to work with animals. James is 7 years old and in the 1st grade. He loves trading Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh cards with his friends and riding his skateboard. He loves playing with his two dogs Lola and Bruce. When he grows up he wants to be a planetary scientist. The first song he wrote was about airplanes. Danica is 3 years old and will go to preschool next year. She loves to draw, play with her friends and do ballet. Her favorite color is green. She wants to be a bakery chef when she grows up because she likes food.
Danica's favorite part of the song Bubbles is See them fly in the air, float everywhere, which she belts out with arms raised to the sky. Danica's joy and love of huge bubbles were a huge inspiration for the Bubbles project!
