A delightful story about a Bug in the Dark who is sooo hungry but doesn't know how to find anything to eat. After watching other (NZ) insects come and go, she has a cunning plan! The vibrant cartoon characters which children will love, are set within photographs of a real native bush. Its simple rhyme and fun text will have children engaged and reading along. The story also fosters an awareness and appreciation of the natural environment.
Lee has a degree in biology and is a qualified adult educator, but it is her love of words and interest in inspiring children which has led to the creation of this book. She continues to write for a younger audience as well as poetry and short stories, and leads groups of aspiring writers to spread the love of this art.
