Bush Tucker Counting by Maureen Glover is a beautiful board book filled with cheerful watercolour illustrations by Gabrielle Fry depicting various bush tucker from the North of Australia. This book introduces early childhood readers to education concepts such as ordinal numbers, adjectives and alliteration.

Maureen Glover is descended from the Budjalung people of northern New South Wales. She is a mother of one, and has worked in education in Brisbane as an early childhood teacher and teacher librarian for the last 26 years. While Bush Tucker Counting is her first book, Maureen is currently working on her second book.
Gabrielle Fry is a Dagoman woman from the Katherine region and grew up in remote Aboriginal communities across the Northern Territory. Gabrielle has always been passionate about art and has expressed her creativity through different forms of medium including illustration, film and photography. She works as a Multimedia Developer for the NT Government. She draws inspiration from her past experiences growing up remote and, more recently, her studies in art and multimedia. Gabrielle is strengthening her skills in illustration and has been experimenting in watercolour, pencil and acrylic.
