Kate Peridot is an author of both fiction and non-fiction childrens stories. In 2014, her childrens story, The Elephant Carnival, won a Walker Books Animal Stories competition for 4-7-year-olds. In 2015 she won the Winchester Festival, First Pages of a Novel award for a YA concept. Caring Conservationists is Kates first non-fiction childrens book.
Sarah Long graduated with her illustration degree from Cambridge School of Art in 2004. She started off her career at Caroline Gardner before moving into giftware, where she designed bags, ceramics and textiles, designing products for well-known brands such as The Beatles and Moomin.
