Told as a fable, but based on a real event, this story is a timely reminder of the fragility of our world.
Gary Crew has written over fifty books for children and young adults and won many awards both internationally and in Australia, including the Australian Children's Book Council Book of the Year four times, and both the New South Wales and Victorian Premier's Award for Children's Literature. Gary lives in Maleny in Queensland and is Associate Professor (Creative Writing) at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Gillian Warden gained a diploma of Graphic Design at Perth Technical College in 1980 and over the last ten years has combined her graphic and illustration skills with those of drawing and painting. A five-year residency at the Old Customs House studios run by the Artists Foundation of Western Australia was the operational base for the development of what is now recognised as her very distinctive style. Gillian lives in Melbourne, Australia.
