Description

Lena and Luka's friend Sam is as chirpy as a songbird in sunshine.

But one day, Sam's smile turns upside down. He's moving far away!

Lena and Luka promise to visit, but flying is expensive. Will they ever see Sam again

Maybe they need something scaly and wide-winged, with room enough for three . . .

From the author and illustrator team behind the much loved Unicorn! and Mermaid! comes a fiery new adventure about friends who can overcome anything - with a big wish and a little help from an accident-prone dragon.

Author Bio

Maggie Hutchings is a counsellor, family-dispute mediator, writer and artist who spends her weekends covered in paint and scribbling lists that are never completed. She is a famously mad aunt, nanna and mother who talks to herself out loud and falls over a lot in the garden at her house in northern New South Wales. Maggie writes stories with heart and soul for children and adults that encourage kindness, hope and resilience.

Cheryl Orsini taught herself to draw as a little girl. She grew a little taller, studied Visual Communications at UTS and finally, when she could grow no more, she started illustrating children's books, magazines and decorating a great many peg dolls! Her books include Lucy's Book, Caravan, The Fairy Dancers and Pom Pom, Where Are You. Her work also regularly appears in magazines and exhibitions. Cheryl created the current exterior design and illustrations for Russ the Story Bus.
