A story reminiscent of making mud pies in the backyard!
Join Quokkas, Tattie and Tiny Spud as they head outside for lots of fun.
A pot, some sticks and petals too,
it's time to make garden stew!
Every page is a delight of colourful pictures and gentle rhyming text. Choosing quokkas as main characters is a great choice. Children will be keen to learn more about them which could lead to interesting information finding and sharing. The ideas presented in the book would be great to follow through as an outdoor activity either at home or in a school environment. Carrie Gallasch is an early childhood teacher in rural South Australia. Her passion for children's literacy began twelve years ago when she first experienced reading aloud to her students. Now with children of her own, Carrie has an excuse to follow them barefoot in the garden and be inspired by the mischief they get up to.
