A long-time favourite with New Zealand children through National Radio's Storytime programme since it was first broadcast in 1994, Grandma's amazing week has been brought to life through the wonderful images of leading Australian children's illustrator Craig Smith. Published in New Zealand by HarperCollins, Grandma will also be published in Australia by ABC Books, and is a colourful, exuberant and fanciful tale showing that not only are Grannies amazing, but life can be fun and is all about attitude. Along the way, children learn that people don't have to behave in a particular way just because they're old. While Granny is matter of fact about her dentures and her wrinkles, and quite likes making marmalade, every so often she needs some excitement and adventure in her life.

She lives at the top of the South Island, New Zealand, and is 'Grammy' to two small granddaughters. In her spare time, she loves to read, garden and walk by the sea. https://gurglewords.wordpress.com/
