Author Bio

Kat Quin is a best-selling and award-winning author, illustrator and designer from the Waikato.

Kat first worked with Pnia Papa at the age of eighteen, when she was entrusted with the illustration of Mori language resources for Te Ara Reo Mori, developed by Takat Associates Ltd. Almost twenty years later, they still work closely together on various educational projects.

Pnia Papa is an acclaimed Mori language consultant and advocate who has spent the past three decades devoted to the teaching and learning of te reo Mori. After ten years of teaching te reo at Waikato University, Pnia began to create Mori language resources and learning programmes through Takat Associates Ltd.
