Description

This is the charming rhyming tale of Little Chicken Duck, a nervous bird whose fear of water prevents her from learning to swim. Taken under Froggie's wing, she is brought into the forest clearing, where each of the birds, in turn, confesses their deepest fear and how they came to terms with it. Armed with their stories of bravery and Froggie's support, Little Chicken Duck, 'feeling cheerful, brave and plucky', is finally able to overcome her fear of water and swim in the pond.

Reviews

Praise for Bradley McGogg, the Very Fine Frog

"The story is told in a lyrical style which will definitely appeal to young children. The rhythm, rhyme, and vivid descriptions make the story come to life....Rachel Berman...uses magical images to illuminate the text and to engage readers in the story in wonderful ways!" - Highly Recommended from CM Magazine

Set in rhyme, these verses prove to be quite strong, always scanning perfectly without seeming strained. ... Berman's palette tends to darker hues, which serves the tale well when the story is located in McGogg's bog... An amusing tale, indeed." - Kirkus Reviews

"Bradley McGogg is indeed a very fine frog and young readers will delight in his foolish antics." - Resource Links
