Reviews

The book celebrates difference through the introduction of shapes and colours, recognising that being different doesn't mean you can't be friends * Guardian on ALONG CAME A DIFFERENT *
A winner of a book about the power of drawing and storytelling * Oliver Jeffers on THE STORYMACHINE *
Dyslexic readers should derive inspiration from this books message, and delight in the drawings. A charming, rewarding, instructive read * Financial Times on THE CLOUDSPOTTER *
Galactic resonances call to mind not only Oliver Jeffers star-catching protagonists, but also a hint of The Little Prince * Guardian on UP, UP AND AWAY *

Author Bio

Tom McLaughlin has written and illustrated several books for Bloomsbury, including Along Came a Different and The Story Machine, which has received wonderfully positive reviews and has sparked a number of thought-provoking articles on dyslexia (which Tom understands well, being dyslexic himself).
