A unique hardcover picture book suitable for two to five year olds, Noni is Nervous is the story of a lovely little girl is worried about many things. Noni finds a way to control her nerves and work through her anxiety, making life much more bearable for everyone! Noni finds a friend, someone a little more outgoing than herself, and discovers that through friendship, she can belong and succeed in a world that once filled her with dread.
. . . In Cts charmingly loose crayon-and-watercolor illustrations, Nonis anxiety shows in her pink-cheeked face as she thinks about everything that could go wrong.
The New York Times
Cts gentle watercolors capture Nonis emotional experience. Softly lavender, monochrome illustrations depict Nonis previous reasons for being nervous, all made right in her mothers arms. A charming, seemingly simple book that gets right to the heart of the matter.
Kirkus Reviews
The text is clarity itself, while Cots rough, splotchy watercolors elicit plenty of emotion from a minimum of strokes. For fearful first-timers, this strikes just the right note of reassurance.
