Author Bio

Kaye Umansky (Author) Kaye Umansky was a primary school teacher for twelve years, specialising in music and drama. She gave up teaching to concentrate on writing full-time. She lives in North London with her husband, daughter and two cats. Margaret Chamberlain has now published numerous picture books apart from the Jim stories, including The Tale of Mucky Mabel, The Tale of Fearsome Fritz, Dog Dottington and The Little Book of Cats and The Little Book of Dogs. She lives in Bath with her illustrator husband. Margaret Chamberlain (Illustrator) Margaret Chamberlain was born in London and grew up in Weybridge, Surrey. She studied at the Royal College of Art. With Quentin Blake as her tutor, she was inspired to start illustrating children's books. She now lives in Lyme Regis, Dorset with her husband Ian Dicks, the cartoonist.
