Do you know what Lobster wants more than anything else in the world A lobster sweater. With ten sleeves and a long middle that will keep his whole body warm. But everyone tells him LOBSTERS CANT KNIT! Everyone just might be wrong, in this story of creativity, teamwork and a whole lot of perseverance.
Karla Courtney is a Canadian/Australian author and knitter who is inspired by nature, the sea and especially lobsters. Her love of wool and crustaceans started on family visits to Newfoundland, where her Grandmother once reared sheep and Grandfather caught lobsters. As an homage, she not only has a giant lobster tattoo on her back, but has also created a beloved pattern for lobsters wearing sweaters that has sold thousands of copies and attracted more than 10 million video views on Instagram, uniting lobster fans across the world! Her knitted lobsters have even made their way onboard the ship of viral lobster fishing sensation Jacob Knowles and are featured in galleries, shops and even hotels across eastern Canada and the United States.
Nicholas John Frith is an artist, illustrator and picture book author who lives and works off the coast of Dorset England.
