Bobo is a very spoiled Shichon (Shih Tzu/Bichon Frise cross) who lives with author Michael Salmon in his Kooyong house, Melbourne. Bobo has failed Miss Tiggy's Puppy Obedience School down at the local park. Mr Rex and his Pampered Pooch mobile dog-grooming van is often seen parked outside Michael's house. Bobo goes on nightly Possum Patrol along the back fence, barking loudly at anything that moves. Bobo appears to be like any other annoying, yappy little white and fluffy lap-dog...But Bobo has another life! He is a dog with super powers: Super-Bo, his kennel is in fact an Operations HQ with screens, monitors and lots of buttons to press. He wears a mask so that he won't be recognised and an old striped beach towel as a cape. Super-Bo is often called away to help when danger threatens. But he's always back in time for dinner!
Michael Salmon has been involved in Australian Children's entertainment since 1967; theatre productions (set, costume, scripting); merchandise, board games, toy designs and he had his show, Alexander Bunyip, on ABC-TV for a decade, 1978-88.
