But as soon as anyone is around, her knees begin to tremble, butterflies start to flutter in her tummy and ... she forgets how to dance. Will she ever find the courage within herself to share her talent with other people and ... feel free But then, one day, Frances Dean notices something someone unusual and it surprises her and inspires her all at once...
This is a gentle tale that will delight readers time and time again. * Bookrapt *
Author/illustrator Birgitta Sif earned my lifelong interest in her work with her exceptional debut picture book, Oliver. Now, with its theme of freedom and natural ability verses self consciousness, this delightful story has increased my devotion. * Buzz Words *
Both children and adults will pore over every gorgeous detail, from the whirling, spinning Frances and her bird friends, to the full, enchanting park scenes. Joyful. * Kids Book Review *
