Mikaela lives a wholesome life with her family. Devoted to the care of her animals, she forges a close bond with the adorable Honey, a hen who is always happy to see her. But when Honey gets sick, Mikaela's world is thrown into turmoil. An inspiring story about friendship, compassion and overcoming grief that features delicate and contemplative illustrations. Honey the Hen will touch readers with its story about loyalty, devotion, and dealing with loss.
Debut childrens author Jona Eselaye David resides in Melbourne, Australia with her family (including two dogs, nine hens, five ducks and one rooster - but whos counting!) Jona has a background in applied bioscience and currently works as a senior advisor within the higher education sector. Honey the Hen marks her first venture into the realm of childrens writing and was inspired by her beloved daughter Mikaela and her treasured hen, Honey.
Alice Jago is a self-taught childrens illustrator, who lives in Cornwall, England. She spent her childhood writing stories and drawing characters and rediscovered her love of picture books after having children of her own.
