Author Bio

Chris Faille was born in 1952. From the age of 16 he wanted to be a policeman, butbegan his career as a Design Draftsman, specialising in large marine installations. In 1978 he joinedthe Victorian police force, rising to the position of a prosecutor and then investigator with the SexOffences Unit. In 2012 he was appointed to help establish the first Family Violence Unit in EastGippsland. He lives in a 100 year old solid brick Federation house in Bairsndale which he and hiswife Jenni have lovingly restored. They share it with a German Shepherd, two cats, inside birds,outside birds, tropical fish, gold fish, tortoises and green tree frogs. Jeremy is his first book forchildren, and is based on a true story. Danny Snell has been working as an illustrator for over 20 years and in that time has illustrated over a dozen children's picture books. Working in a variety of media and with a focus on simple compositions, he brings a gentle whimsy to his book characters and settings. Danny's books have won a number of awards over the years including the 2014 CBCA Eve Pownall Award for Jeremy. His first book as both author and illustrator was Seagull, which in 2016 won the Wilderness Society Environment Award for Children's Literature. And more recently, Little Chicken Chickabee, was a 2017 CBCA Notable. Danny's most recent book with Working Title Press is Ozzie Goes to School by Jocelyn Crabb.
