Far, far away there was a wood. A jumble of twists and turns, ups and downs, and unknowns. The little creatures that lived there each had a thing that made them happy... all of them except Pod, who just can't seem to find hers. Exasperated and sad, Pod sets off to discover where her 'happiness' might be hiding, only to find it in the friends she meets along the way.
This gem is a special read that my children are intrigued by. We enjoy looking at the creative illustrations, finding new things to talk about in every reading of this one! * Booksgrowminds on Instagram *
This is a beautifully illustrated book about finding friendship in unusual places. It teaches your child that happiness is found within yourself and with the people and places you love - and is not defined by material objects. * Ivy's Library *
Helena Covell grew up between the green, rolling hills of Yorkshire in the UK and the Spanish island of Lanzarote, surrounded by mountains and sandy beaches. Paired with an innate love of nature and video games, this wonderful childhood has influenced Helena's work and can be seen in her bizarre characters and brightly coloured worlds. She graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2015 and currently works a freelance illustrator, based in Yorkshire.
