Tim Tipene (Ngti Kur, Ngti Whtua) is the award-winning author of over 12 childrens books, and a pioneering youth counsellor. He lives with his children in Rnui, West Auckland. Zak Waipara (Rongowhakaata, Ngti Ruapani, Ngati Porou, Ngati Kahungunu) is a renowned illustrator and writer of books, comics and animations. He is a lecturer in digital media at the Auckland University of Technology. Rob Ruha (Te Whnau a Apanui, Ngti Porou, Ngti Tuwharetoa, Tainui, Te Arawa, Ngpuhi, Rongowhakaata, Ng Ariki) is a chart-topping musician, songwriter and champion of te reo Mori who is based in Rotorua.
