Hena Khan is a Pakistani-Muslim-American who has written numerous books for children, including activity books on spying, arts and crafts, and more. She also wrote Chronicle's Eric carle birthday party kit. She lives in Rockville, Maryland, with her husband and two sons.
Julie Paschkis is an artist and illustrator. Her illustrations can be seen in Night Garden, which was selected by the New York Times as one of the ten best illustrated books of 2000. She lives in Seattle, Washington.
