One Ted Falls Out of Bed turns 20 in this gorgeous anniversary edition, with a brand-new foil cover and never before seen bonus content. In this perfect bedtime read-aloud, poor Ted falls out of bed, only for three mischievous mice to whisk him off on a breathtaking adventure. They zoom around in fast cars, have tea with kind dolls, go on a balloon ride and climb a building-block mountain. It's all very exciting, but will Ted ever get back to his bed One Ted Falls Out of Bed's counting theme is woven perfectly into a magical, rhythmic text by former Children's Laureate, Julia Donaldson, and features gorgeous Illustrations from Anna Currey.
Another little miracle from Julia Donaldson * The Bookseller *
This is a counting book by the author of The Gruffalo, and our high expectations are rewarded. The story has layers of emotional ups and downs . . . The illustrations are endearing, with great depth and feeling: atmosphere oozes from the page * Books for Keeps *
Julia Donaldson has written some of the world's best-loved children's books, including modern classics The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child, which together have sold over 17 million copies worldwide, and the hugely successful What the Ladybird Heard adventures. Julia also writes fiction, including the Princess Mirror-Belle books illustrated by Lydia Monks, as well as poems, plays and songs - and her brilliant live shows are always in demand. She was Children's Laureate 2011-13 and has been honoured with a CBE for Services to Literature. Julia and her husband Malcolm divide their time between West Sussex and Edinburgh. Anna Currey's warm, classic watercolour style has brought to life many enchanting picture books. Her previous work for Macmillan includes Rosie's Hat, also written by Julia Donaldson. Anna was born in Norfolk, grew up in Ireland and now lives near Bath with her husband.
