Author Bio

Steve Antony is an award-winning writer and illustrator of 22 childrens books, 7 of which have been nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal and is best known for his ongoing Mr Panda series which has sold over 1 million copies worldwide. Along with the award-winning modern classic The Queens Hat (and its three sequels) his other picture books include a two-time collaboration with Tim Minchin, for When I Grow Up and Sometimes You Have To Be A Little Bit Naughty, the all-new Chitty Chitty Bang Bang picture book and You Can! - Kids Empowering Kids as well as the 70th Anniversary edition of Enid Blyton's Famous Five: Five Have a Wonderful Time. He has also contributed work towards LGBTQ+ anthology Proud, Drawing Europe Together and Kind. Steve is Swindon Libraries Patron to Childrens Reading Services, an ambassador for the National Literacy Trust and a committee member of The Society of Authors Childrens Writers and Illustrators Group. Steve is colour vision deficient, more commonly known as colour-blind. He lives in South West England with his husband and cat.
