Kelly Hibbert grew up in Happy Valley, South Australia. In 1992, Kelly began her teaching degree at Flinders University finding inspiration and affirmation of her love of language from her mentor and teacher, Mem Fox. Kelly's first picture book, Fancy Pants, was being released by Little Big Book Club in 2016. Kelly lives with husband and their two young boys in Aberfoyle Park and divides her time between teaching and writing, often combining the two.
