The inspiration to write about sunflowers came one summer day while driving through the farmlands of Kansas. Passing many acres of sunflowers and marveling at their beauty, it was easy to imagine what it might be like if a sunflower could leave their home field and explore the world "down the road" from where they lived. The story, Suzy and Jake the Sunflower Twins, became a reality from that brief experience. It is hoped that those who read it will come to know the joy of make believe that brought this book to life, and provide hope for escape even if it means it is just a dream.
Join the Sunflower Twins on their amazing adventure of imagination and fun! Take a trip with Suzy and Jake from their home by the road, across the fields, to a cool summer lake and live their sunflower dream.
