A fantastic story about learning to read and how it is not as easy as you think but with time and patience anyone can give it a go! King Lion has lost his voice and so cant read the bedtime story! Luckily Preposterous Rhinoceros wants to do it...but how do you read a book He asks all his friends but misinterprets what they mean. Finally Shy Salamander gets Preposterous Rhinoceross attention and tells him to read you need to be taught! So Salamander teaches Rhino and eventually Rhino is able to read everyone a story.
Tracy lives in South London close to her two grown-up sons. Tracy would often make up bedtime stories for her children, but it wasnt until they were both grown that she finally pursued her dream of becoming a picture book author. Joining SCBWI enabled Tracy to become part of a picture book critic group and provided her with plenty of opportunities to meet with like minded people. When Tracy is not writing, reading or buying picture books she can be found making novelty cakes or decorating in a shabby chic style. Author of: Preposterous Rhinoceros, Hamster Sitter Wanted! and Not My Hats! Marta was born in Barcelona. When she was a child she never played with dolls, her favourite toys were coloured pencils and a little kitchen. Today her interest for cooking has decreased but she draws a lot! She studied Graphic Design and worked as a Graphic designer for 18 years. During all these years, she discovered that her real vocation was illustration and, in 2005, she started-up her own company illustrating childrens t-shirts. She did a Masters in EINA School of Barcelona, and learnt as many illustration techniques as she could. Since 2007 she has worked as a freelance illustrator for most publishing companies in Spain, US and the UK. She sees herself as very lucky that she managed to turn her hobby into her job and hopes to continue drawing until she is lovely grandmother. Illustrator of: Preposterous Rhinoceros
