Romeo the dog is a much-loved character created by Alain Gre in the 1960s.
Always meaning well but sometimes a little clumsy and accident prone, Romeo finds himself on a variety of different adventures of all which have a happy ending!
In this delightful story, Romeo decides to go camping but by the time he has finished packing his suitcase it is too heavy for his to lift. He comes up with a variety of novel ways to move his suitcase, some more risky than others! In the end Romeo decides to use his suitcase as a tent and camp at home!
Originally produced in the 60s, the story and accompanying illustrations are timeless.
Alain Gree is a French author and illustrator of children's books. He has had over 300 books published, which have been translated into 20 different languages. He has also worked as a children's broadcaster on French national television, produced three detective novels, ten ship-navigation books and been a journalist for 20 years for Voiles et Voiliers (sailing ships) magazine. He is currently a graphic designer and editor for various advertising publications. Alain's main hobby is sailing. He's owned several boats since the 1970s and has crossed the Atlantic Ocean twice. He finds his sailing trips provide the perfect time out to work on new children's stories and illustrations.
