On a blustery day, Oat and Barley decide to fly a kite. Though Barley worries it's a bit too windy for kite flying, Oat is enthusiastic and takes the lead. Together they build it but when they go to fly it, the wind whips tiny Oat up and into the air. The kite carries Oat all around until landing him right back home. Maybe it was too windy, Oat admits as the friends are reunited. But when it calms, Oat's got another great idea to try...
Christopher Michaels is a British artist born and raised in Cambridge, UK. He graduated from Cambridge School of Art with a BA in Illustration and an MA in Childrens Book Illustration. His work often reflects his fondness for all things gentle, quaint and old-fashioned.
