Margaret Wild is an internationally renowned children's author whose books have been translated into several languages. Her writing deals with a wide range of themes, but most notably issues of identity, trust and death. She's won several awards, including the CBCA Picture Book of the Year Award. Originally from South Africa, she has been living in Australia since 1972.
