Sallie Damron lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area. She wrote the first version of The Wallflower and the Butterfly in June 2011 and began working with illustrator Wendy Anne Crittenden in 2013. Reading and writing are an important part of Sallie's life and have been since she was a child. Raised without a television in the home, books were her form of entertainment and escape. The Wallflower and the Butterfly is Sallie's first children's book. She wrote it for families who still believe in bedtime stories.
