It's Saturday, and Jo has some pocket money to spend. So Jo and her mum go shopping, while Dad stays at home to make lunch for them all. But what should she spend her money on She'll have to wait and see.
One of those valuable resources that promotes positive attitudes towards cultural diversity. Implicit within the storyline and illustrations are clear messages celebrating difference, everyday experiences, friendship, community and families. || Eileen Browne's illustrations bring Jo, her family and the local neighbourhood to life. Eileen captures the different skin tones, hair styles and mannerisms very well. There is so much going on in each illustration that children and adults will find lots to talk about and discuss. Wait and See should be one of the first books all children read with their parents.
