Author Bio

Rocio Bonilla, born in Barcelona in 1970, is a children's books author and illustrator. She began her professional career through various disciplines such as painting, muralism, photography, pedagogy and, finally, advertising. The turning point in her career was motherhood she left advertising and started a company dedicated to decorating children's spaces with hand-painted murals. In 2011 she entered the publishing field as an illustrator, and debuted as an author in 2014. To date she has published about fifty children's books and also collaborated with other writers. Her books won several awards and have been translated into more than twenty languages. She works mainly for children. Her three kids are her biggest critics and her biggest fans. She likes to cook, crochet teddy bears and listen to Billie Holliday. If she were an animal she'd be a parakeet.
