Born in Indonesia of French parents,Sophie Massoncame to Australia at the age of 5. A bilingual French and English speaker, Sophie has had more than 70 novels published in Australia and internationally, mostly for young adults and children. Her books have been recognised by many literary awards, including the NSW Premier's Literary Awards, the Children's Book Council of Australia awards, the Aurealis Awards and the Davitt Awards. In 2019, Sophie was awardedan AM in theOrder of Australia for her significant service to literature.She has served on the Literature Board of the Australia Council, and has also served as the Chair of the Board ofManagement of the Australian Society of Authors. She is the President of the New England and North-West sub branch of the Children's Book Council of NSW, and is the current Chair of the New England Writers' Centre and Vice-President of the Small Press Network. Sophie lives in country New South Wales with her husband, and has three grown-up children andthree soon to be four grandchildren.
Shiloh Gordon has a passion for creating lively, engaging illustrations that are full of character and fun.He graduated with a BA in animation from the Queensland College of Art and has worked as a professional illustrator for over 20 years. His work has included illustrations for magazines, eBooks and educational materials. This is his first picture book.Shiloh lives in Brisbane with his wife and three kids, who are an endless source of fun and inspiration.
