No! No! No! The little troll is terribly angry. It's like there's a storm inside him, with lightning shooting out of the sky and thunder rumbling loudly. Yes, that's exactly how he feels: like a rumbling and grumbling troll. A grumbletroll! Eventually his friends get fed up with his yelling and go off to play without him. Will the little troll be able to make up for his bad behaviour and win back the favour of his friends Grumbletroll serves as a model to help children recognise and learn ways to stop fits of rage that we all struggle with when things don't go our way. AGES: 0 to 6 AUTHORS: Steffi & Michael Gerharz (aprilkind) live with their three children. The idea for the grumbletroll came to them when their youngest daughter was sitting at the breakfast table with her arms folded, sulking and grumbling. Barbara van den Speulhof is a children's book author and director and producer of radio plays for children. After short periods in mechanical engineering and architecture Stephan Pricken studied primary school teaching with a focus on art, and then graphic design.
Even tantrum-prone readers will love seeing how the grumbletroll works through rage and restores friendships. (Picture book. 5-7)

nbsp; This is a unique and hilarious story that young children will cherish. Theyll find it relatable, as nearly all youngsters have known people who anger easily and complain loudly, ruining the spirits of those around them. Theyll be heartened by the forgiveness and acceptance his buddies are so willing to grant. Additionally, the vibrant, detailed illustrations will capture their attention, and the humor depicted through those illustrations will have them rolling with laughter. Theyll plead for another read and mark The Grumbletroll as one of their all-time favorites. -- Seattle Book Review
A delightful book for children to share with their parents (and parents to share with their kids). Kids can't always express their feelings in a socially acceptable manner but they will relate to Grumbletroll's actions and emotions. (Ages 3-6) -- Midwest Book Review

After forays into mechanical engineering and architecture,Stephan Pricken first studied elementary school teaching with a focus on art and ultimately graphic design in Mnster, where he now lives and works as a freelance illustrator.
