'This Is Venice' was one of Miroslav Sasek's own favourites, along with 'This Is Edinburgh' and 'This Is Hong Kong'. It is a particularly lovely book and was one of the four titles in the series which was made into a film.
Author Bio
M. Sasek was born in 1916 in Prague, Czechoslovakia. An author and illustrator, he is best remembered for his classic stories on the great cities of the world. He died in 1980.
