Jem Packer is an award-winning children's author and cartoon strip writer for Private Eye. He is also one half of Knife and Packer, who have written and illustrated more than 30 books for children. He is the winner of the Laugh Out Loud Book Award, and his greatest claim to fame is appearing on stage with Sir Paul McCartney as half a pantomime horse. She has illustrated many children's books including Elephant's Pyjamas (HarperCollins) and Fabio the Flamingo (Bloomsbury).
