This board book introduces children to colours, textures, and parts of the body while conveying a message about friendship, celebrating diversity, and inclusion. As the reader turns the pages, colours are added one by one, creating the image of a boy. Different strokes and textures make up each body part, and at the end the boy joins his friends, all made of different combinations. All Colours shows that all people are made up of the same pieces, yet are all unique and full of colour! AUTHOR: Amalia is an award-winning author/illustrator. The backmatter will tell you that this board book has big dreams. It wants to convey a message about friendship, tolerance, and inclusion.... this is without a doubt one of the lovelier board books youll be likely to find this year. Part of the fun comes in trying to figure out what is being built as each color is incorporated into the ones that already appeared. I can see a parent being more than happy to read this one to a kid multiple times. Plus, this might be high-contrast enough for the youngest of readers. Bonus!
