Who spilled that blue paint There's a messy mystery afoot, and Detective Clue-keko needs your help to solve it! Watch out for cartoonist Toby Morris's flying dad jokes in this delightful visual and verbal play on words that rhyme with pkeko, one of Aotearoa New Zealand's most iconic and personality-laden blue birds. Join the hunt and follow the paint trail with Detective Clue-keko as the pkeko chaos accumulates. And who-keko knew-keko that so many words rhyme with pkeko With even more comic fun to be spotted in the eye-catching illustrations, this story is for children aged 3-7 (and their not-so-serious adults) and will be on repeat read throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. Be warned - pkeko rhyming is VERY contagious!
Toby Morris is an award-winning writer, cartoonist and illustrator and the dad of two sons, with whom he has a long-running joke of coming up with words that rhyme with pkeko. (That's how the idea for this book came about.) He is the author of Capsicum, Capsi Go and The Day The Costumes Stuck; two books for grownups, Don't Puke On Your Dad and Dad Man Walking; and the illustrator of a bestselling graphic non-fiction work Te Tiriti O Waitangi. He has thrice won Cartoonist of the Year at the Voyager New Zealand Media Awards, in 2020, 2021 and 2024.
